Egg-cellent start to the day!

Good morning! Now the kiddo is back to school after a lovely summer holiday I can get making.
I try to stop for the summer and enjoy the time with the family. I still work 2 days as a jewellery assistant so Little Moxie kinda goes quiet on the social media side and by the time kiddo goes back I am snowed under! Where to start? hmm the blogs need updating and a photo shoot is planned for later today. I have made my morning to do list and now I am heading to the studio with a cup of tea in hand to make some jewellery!
Wish me luck & I hope you have a productive day too:)

Crochet crazy!!!

Baby pram blanket (Sold)

Crochet Cushion (Sold)
In Tom Foolery Jewellery Gallery, London N10

To say that I am hooked (excuse the pun!) on crochet is an understatement. I have put it through some trials & have found some limits, but crochet is very adaptable and can be a bit wilder than it's cousin knitting. Is it easier? Yes in some ways, but I do find that crochet can look quite dated & uncool (to my taste) if not used in a particular way. I'm very careful with the colours I use & I try to keep designs simple to make this traditional craft contemporary.

Home Craft Studio

Working from home is great, but it can be a challenge to get motivated at times. I'm super lucky to have a studio in my garden as our cottage is very small. I tend to work on the dining table & in the bedroom for my knitting/crocheting & when I'm on the computer. My studio is where I make my jewellery only.
When I am enamelling it gets rather messy. I have a mini kiln for firing the jewellery so I much prefer it to be away from the house, especially from my daughter! I would love to arrange a corner (bedroom I think) to have organised for me to work in but as I said it's a small house! These photos are a bit of inspiration for me! Totally girlie & super pretty:)

Reddy for Christmas!

Crochet cufflinks in a London bus red
Wee tiny button studs

I have just added some new products to the Little Moxie website so please take a peek!
I'm so busy getting the website ready for Christmas & I'm feeling a little guilty for having a lovely break in North Devon. We just got back from a family camping trip for my husbands birthday.
The weather was fantastic, the beaches were amazing & we are feeling recharged:)
Good to be home tho....missed my bed!
